Narayangarh - Little Flower Ashram

At the invitation of Msgr. Antony Sharma, the Ecclesiastical Superior of Missio Sui Juris, Nepal, the CST Fathers decided to start an Ashram in Nepal. We considerd this invitation positively for two reasons (1) Nepal is one of the 12 most undeveloped countries in the world and hence its people were more deserving of our services and support in tune with the charism of our Congregation. (2) The proximity of the place to Gorakhpur where we had already established ourselves.

It was in the year 1994 that we started our first Ashram in Nepal in Narayangarh, Chitwan district.. Considering the need of the place we began our work by opening a School. Now the School has grown into a full fledged high School with necessary infrastructure. The first batch of class X students of our School appeared for their board examination in 2005 and all passed with flying colours. Today the strength of the School is above 1000 and has become a reputed educational institution in the area.

In the afternoon we run primary classes in Nepali medium for the poor children of the surrounding places. Thus it has manifested to the society that our Institution is meant to cater to the educational needs of all classes of people.

There is also a Catholic Community in Narayangarh and our presence is a big consolation for them for maintaining their spiritual well- being.
